For over 25 years, I have been engaged in healthcare policymaking in Germany, at the intersection of health policies, regulatory frameworks and the healthcare industry. In my most recent role, I acted as Managing Director of Market Access and Reimbursement of the German Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (vfa). Today, I provide companies, associations, and non-profit organisations with strategic assistance on all aspects of public affairs, market access, and organisational development.

Through my engagement in the legislative process of more than 30 pharmaceutical policy bills, I am familiar with the workflows in ministries, parliament, and self-governing organisations.

I will assist you in fine-tuning your targets, refining your operating structures, and balancing different interests within your organisation.

My executive-level work experience has made me deeply aware of the challenges of providing strategic guidance and ensuring team support in the transformation process.

About Me

Since 2001, I have been based in Berlin, enjoying family life between the city’s urban attractions and its abundance of green spaces, and working at the hub of Germany’s political landscape and healthcare policymaking.

My expertise in the healthcare sector and policy reform processes encompasses various perspectives: science, health insurance, industry, and advocacy, all of which I have combined to offer a holistic strategy consulting service.

Besides political analysis, my practical focus is on how organisations can successfully adapt to regulatory complexities. Creating effective strategies is about integrating diverse perspectives and translating them into dependable choices.

At every step of my career, aspects of change have been crucial to my work:

I wrote my doctoral thesis on “Welfare state transformation in Central and Eastern Europe”.
In my roles with statutory and private health insurance providers, I developed new formats of cooperation with medical practitioners.
During my employment with the German Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (vfa) for over two decades, most recently as Managing Director of Market Access and Reimbursement, I co-directed the association’s course through a changing healthcare policy landscape.
Today, I offer independent strategy consulting services to companies, associations and non-profits in the healthcare sector, assisting them in shaping their sustainable future.
